A New Champion
A belated congrats to Terry Milt and his Rampage as they claimed the 2005 MVRL Football Title by defeating the Benchpressers 94-77. Someone needs to tell Terry that winning a title as a rookie is a quick way to get tossed from the league.
I tried to explain to Rotney that making predictions is a two-part deal, but after the Monday Nighter he said, and I quote, "F--- that. If dat dumass Wes wudda plade da Patereeuts, hee wudda wun. So I ain't seyin sorey 2 nobodey."
Oh well, that Rotney is something else.
The Rampage were led by consensus MVRL Player of the Year Shaun Alexander. How good was Alexander this year? For the season, Alexander totaled 258 points. That's an average of just over 16 points per game. Only eight defenses scored more points than Alexander and his total was more than 50 points better than the second-highest scoring individual player. That's impressive.
