Puffins Notebook: Game, set, match
The Horned Puffins season came to an end at the hand of the red-hot Benchpressers in week 15. The loss was the third in a row for the Puffins, who had lost just once all year prior to the streak. While it is definitely disappointing to be watching someone else play for a title, the Puffins can take pride in the fact that they will have the best chance of landing the #1 pick in next year's draft as they finished the regular season with the league's best record."All of that is nice and will mean more once the sting of this loss goes away," said QB Tom Brady. "We don't play to win the regular season, we play to win championships."
That, my friends, is the bottom line.
In other news...
...GM Derek Harlan is leaning towards keeping QB Tom Brady and RB LaDainian Tomlinson. "We'll evaluate guys in the offseason and see what our best options are, but right now, yea, we're definitely leaning towards those two"...The offseason is
expected to get off to a slow start for the Puffins as team leaders will be devoting a lot of time over the next few months to the MVR Baseball League. The league is looking to add former owners Scott Quinn and Ryan Fagan and is examining some potential rules changes in order to get them back in...Harlan has also announced that Friday fans will be pleasantly surprised to when they visit tkn2 as he has a special treat in store for his championship game preview. No one knows for sure what the surprise is, but Harlan has warned his employees that if anyone leaks any information they will be fired. That Harlan is some hardass, huh?
