D-Lee rejoins Knights

Sitting near the cellar of the MVRL standings, a mere 50 points behind the leader, the Knights have pulled the trigger on a deal to bring Derrek Lee back to the team. Lee, who is currently on the DL and is expected to miss 8-10 weeks, was a vital part of last year's fast start by the Knights. He was sent to Brent at the All-Star Break.

"Being this far back this early is not a situation anyone wants to be in," stated owner/GM Derek Harlan. "At the same time, it allows us to go out and get a guy like Derrek, who will be a nice keeper for us."

The deal sent Mark Teixeira, Derek Lowe, & Cory Sullivan to AAA in exchange for Lee, Felix Hernandez, Mark Sweeney, & Marlon Byrd.

"Hopefully we can get some guys healthy and move up in the standings," Harlan added. "We may not win it this year, but you better believe that we'll compete and do everything we can to move up in the standings."
