Puffins strike a deal with Maddogs

In a move to bolster the receiving corps, the Horned Puffins have sent QB Eli Manning, RB Reuben Droughns, and the club's 4th rounder in next years draft to the Kamikaze Maddogs. In return, the Puffs receive WR Marvin Harrison and QB Byron Leftwich.
"We feel we have made our club better," stated GM Derek Harlan. "We had a list of receivers we were looking at and wanted to try to get the best guy available. We definitely feel Marvin is that guy."
The difficult part for Harlan was dealing two guys who are so repected by their teammates. However, he was quick to point out the character of the two newcomers.
"We definitely considered the well-being of that locker room before doing this," added Harlan. "You don't go and pull a DePodesta and trade the face of your team and bring in some hooligans. That being said, you can't find a better pro than Marvin Harrison. And Byron's not far behind."
Time will tell if the trade was a good one. In the meantime, don't be shocked if the Puffins aren't done dealing.
