TMC-Week 7

I cannot lie. I enjoyed last night's MNF as much as any other game this year. It wasn't because it was the greatest game, but because I didn't have to look at or hear about Kenny Rogers and his poopy hand (that's what I say it was-poop). Since my mind is already in Game 3 mode, I'll be keeping this edition of TMC rather brief.

Buffet Boys 121 (82), Burrowing Owls 46 (84)
Hoffman found out how easy it is when your studs play like studs. Larry Johnson, Gonzo, and WRs Reggie Wayne, Marvin Harrison, and Plaxico all came up big to lead the Boys to victory.
Game ball goes to Larry Johnson. 161 total yards & 2 TDs, 22 points.

Double Down 121 (82), Crapshoot 68 (68)
Daniels picked the right 2 QBs this week with the lethal combo of Joey Harrington and Jon Kitna. Big games from RBs Kevin Jones and Chester Taylor didn't hurt.
Game ball goes to Joey Harrington. 2 TD passes, 1 2-point conversion, & 417 total yards, 24 points.

Kamikaze Maddogs 41 (85), Creamers 38 (84)
If you took the over, I apologize. It may have been ugly and you can say what you want, but the bottom line is a wins a win. Again, sorry if you had the over.
Game ball goes to Ben Roethlisberger. 3 TD passes & 1 concussion, 12 points.

Carpetbaggers 135 (87), Rampage 58 (82)
Huge games from the Giants D, Hines Ward, and Mike Vick carried the Baggers. Only a few seats remain on the Baggerwagon. I've been seated all year, come join me!
Game ball goes to Hines Ward. 8 catches for a buck-seventy-one & 3 TDs, 32 points.

Horned Puffins 94 (82), Pietschskins 50 (67)
RBs Leon Washington and LaDainian Tomlinson carried the Puffins. I see Tomlinson as LDT sometimes. I also see him as LT2 (Lawrence Taylor being LT or LT1? I'm curious there). Which is it? If Tony LaRussa is TLR, then I guess it's LDT. But I like the LT2 concept. It's better than first letter first name-first three letters last name (A-Rod, T-Mac, etc.). That way we could go back and rename the heroes of yesterday and know the lower the number at the end, the older the athlete. Along those lines, TD always bugged me with regards to Terrell Davis. He was TD, but as a kid I always called Tony Dorsett TD. Therefore, Davis shoulda been TD2. To me, he kinda was because once Davis burst on the scene, I called Dorsett "The Original TD." Whatever.
Game ball goes to Leon Washington. 137 total yards & 2 TDs, 19 points.

Benchpressers 95 (96), Hitters 88 (87)
I actually about nailed this one. It ultimately came down to the RBs on MNF and Tiki Barber was simply better than Julius Jones. My guess is that this is the last time that Hud plays the second kicker over the third RB.
Game ball goes to Alge Crumpler. 6 catches for 117 yards & 3 TDs, 31 points.
