Week 4 MVRL Predictions

Sorry my picks are a day late, but I've been spending a lot of time at Busch Stadium lately. Last night I enjoyed seeing Big Mac hide behind his little boy. Nothing like taking the easy way out. That's for another time though. It was good to see the '85 Cardinals-Ozzie, Tommy, & Willie look like they could still suit up and play. More on all that in another entry.
Week 4 is nearly here. Can anyone beat the Bengals? When will the Indy offense put its foot on the gas pedal? Can the Ravens get in the win column playing the QB-deficient Jets? How will the Saints do in San Antonio?
In the MVRL, we step outside our divisions for the first time. Here's a look at the games on tap for the weekend...

Hitters @ Kamikaze Maddogs

There's no way Scott can fall to 0-4 is there? I don't really know what to think of this one since Hud has been so hot lately, but I'll take a guess. Hud gets a big game from Corey Dillon (he need a few big games to reach 1,450 doesn't he, Pietsch?) and his Monday Night Panthers, but it's not going to be enough to keep the 'Dogs from getting their first win. Why? A huge game from Byron Leftwich. I don't know why I'm feeling that, but I am. Scott 98, Hud 89.

Crapshoot @ Burrowing Owls
As long as TQ is undefeated, he's my pick. Any questions I had about picking him to win were answered when I saw that the immortal Brian Griese makes his return to the Owls lineup this week. Owls 106, Crapshoot 97.
Mugshot Alert! Check out Warrick Dunn's mugshot at CBSsportsline. I think he just caught a whiff of a nice fart.

Buffet Boys @ Pietschskins
How will Troy's team react to last week's heartbreaker? Is this the week that Peyton Manning finally breaks out? I think that both of these teams are about to bust out. Manning and Holmes are both overdue and Carson Palmer is showing no signs of slowing down. Here at tkn2, we have quite the mancrush on Carson Palmer. Have you noticed his picture manages to show up every week? I guess we better pick his team to win, huh? Troy 99, Eric 92.
Claiming 2nd Place in the mugshot of the week is a rather constipated L.J. Smith. Thanks.

Horned Puffins @ Rampage
I picked myself to lose last week and won, so why not do it again? Ok, I will. Actually, this game features two 2-1 teams and has the makings of a great contest. Unfortunately for the Puffs, LT is headed to New England to take on the Pats. I promise this-he will not put up 36 fantasy points this week. In fact, he'll be lucky to crack double-digits. So goes LT, so go the HP. Mr. Milt, welcome to the league and congrats on moving to 3-1. Milt 87, Harlan 76.

Double Down @ Benchpressers
I said I'm done betting against Daniels and I am. Two teams here heading in opposite directions, as the DD are winners of two in a row, while the BPs have lost two in a row. Daniels' reserves would be starters for most of us. Feel free to be loaded. DD 111, BP 85.

Carpetbaggers @ Creamers

Not many football players can make their way into the Rules of Life, but Brett Favre is one of them. The Rule? Never bet against Favre on Monday Night. Alright, I guess Pietsch is the pick, but will need every bit of Favre on MNF to pull it out. Creamers 90, 'Baggers 87.

Good luck to all!
