LT's Big Night
Thanks to last night's monster performance from RB LaDainian Tomlinson, the Horned Puffins find themselves in position to possibly move to 2-1 in the MVRL. The game will not be decided until the conclusion of tonight's Monday Nighter between the Chiefs and Broncos. The Puffins and Buffet Boys each have two players going in tonight's contest: Samie Parker and Ashley Lelie (Puffins) and Priest Holmes and Eddie Kennison (Boys)."We haven't won sh--," said K Jeff Wilkins. "Priest is capable of putting up numbers like LT did last night, so don't say anything about being 2-1."
Soundbites from Sunday
- QB Tom Brady: "LT was big for us. His performance, along with Willis's, was nice, but we need more production from our tight end."
- Owner Derek Harlan (on Dallas Clark): "Tell Dallas Clark to get his head out of his @ss! Right now he is playing like a friggin' dog. I hope he likes his view from the sideline next week, because that's where he'll be." (Harlan picked up Jermaine Wiggins just prior to kickoff Sunday morning and says he will get the start at TE for the next few weeks.)
- WR Roy Williams (on his bye week): "It's good to sit back and chill a bit, you know? Me and Mike (Williams), we just got some sliders (White Castle) and watched the games."
- QB Eli Manning (on not getting the start at OC): "It sucks-I'm not going to act like it doesn't, but I could be stuck here in beautiful San Diego, so I'm not going to complain. I'll just keep on putting big numbers up and if he wants to start a second tight end then that's his business."
- Manning on playing in NY instead of SD: "I don't really care where I play. New York is cool, even though I got dissed by Lindsay Lohan at a club last week. It's all good though because I think she's a little trashy. Kinda like Britney Spears." Ouch.
