Clemens Finishes Strong
Making his last start of the 2005 regular season Saturday, Roger Clemens shut down the Chicago Cubs to give his Astros atleast a tie of the Wild Card. Clemens fine outing was once again witnessed by Knights' chief Derek Harlan."It was nice to see Roger finish strong and give the performance he did," stated Harlan. "We knew that this was the type of pitcher we were aquiring a month ago. I'm happy for Roger and I'm happy for this organization."
Clemens, however, chose not to take the high road when talking about Harlan. "You know what? I really don't give a flying f--- what that clown has to say about me or anything else. He's acted like some kind of idiot since I've been a Knight and now I go out and pitch seven strong innings, allow a half-dozen hits, and pick up a win and he's my best friend? F--- that. If I come back next year I pray to God that I'm not on his roster."
Clemens remarks were carried live on ESPN News, meaning a hefty fine from MLB can be expected.
