The drama will continue for another day as GM Derek Harlan issued the following statement today regarding QB Eli Manning:

Due to an ongoing investigation involving the Horned Puffins organization and one of its key contributers, Eli Manning, we are not yet prepared to make a statement regarding Eli's benching this past Sunday. Please be respectful of all parties involved as we continue our investigation into what team rules were or were not broken. We appreciate all your understanding with this delicate matter and will make an official announcement as soon as we can. Again, thanks for your cooperation.

A mole at the Cove has reported to tkn2 that there may be other team members involved in this---although no one is saying what exactly "this" is. There has been speculation that disgruntled RB Reuben Droughns may be involved, but no one has confirmed that story. Other sources say that there have been some team members upset with all the attention RB LaDainian Tomlinson has been receiving. One thing is for sure-that locker room needs to get cleaned up in a hurry if the Puffins are to make any kind of run deep into the Playoffs.
