Puffins Notebook: Jenkins, Cowboys D picked up

For the second week in a row the Horned Puffins did not submit a claim prior to Tuesday's midnight deadline. However, the Puffins did pick up two new players Wednesday morning in WR Michael Jenkins and the Dallas Cowboys defense.
"At this point, we're getting pretty desperate for receivers," stated GM Derek Harlan. "Jenkins hasn't done squat all year, but he's got a better chance than Reggie Williams."
Williams, along with RB Marcel Shipp, was sent packing to make room on the roster for Jenkins and the Cowboys D.
"Eli's (Manning) progression has really given us some flexibility with our reserves," Harlan added. "We now just have to swing a deal or two and get a few quality receivers in here and maybe we'll have a chance."
