Knights look to '07, Trade for Carlos Beltran

In a ballsy move, GM Derek Harlan recently added OF Carlos Beltran to the roster of the Harlan Knights. He didn't come cheap, as the team sent Jason Bay, Pedro Martinez, and Billy Wagner to AAA in exchange for Beltran.
"Is that a pretty price to pay for him? You damn straight it is! But we aren't catching Troy this year, there is very little age difference between Beltran and Bay, and both Pedro and Wagner are one-year guys, so we pulled the trigger," said Harlan. "The only drawback is that I have to get rid of all my 'Mets are pondscum' stuff because three of our keepers are Mets (Reyes, Wright, & Beltran)."
